Partnership Opportunites

Thank you for your interest in partnering with us for the Emerging Learning Design 2012 conference.  Below please find a detailed explanation of the different levels and benefits of our Partnership Program.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at eld at mail dot montclair dot edu or by calling AJ Kelton at 973.655.7511

IMPORTANT UPDATE – CONFERENCE DISCOUNT PERCENTAGES INCREASED
While we work on a new chart (below), please note that the percentage  discount provided for each Parntership level have been increased.  Silver will get a 10% discount on additional registrations, Gold will get 15%, Platinum will get 20%, and the Event Sponsor will get 30%.

The two main Partnership categories are Corporate Partners and Education Consortium Partners.

The Education Consortium Partners (or EDU Consortium Partners) are educational institutions, whereas the Corporate Partners are our business colleagues.  Both receive the same benefits listed below, except the EDU Consortium Partners will not get display space in the lunch area.

The EDU Consortium Partnership is structured more for annual benefits.  Involvement in the conference is one component and there will be one, or more, events that take place between conferences that will be exclusive to our EDU Consortium Partner institutions.

We are pleased to announce that between August 2012 and April 2013 we will be hosting two, and possible three, synchronous web-based events (webinars) exclusively for our EDU Consortium Partner institution.  The dates of the two session will be announced later this year.

2012 Online Event
More Than a Helpdesk: Expanding the Value Proposition of IT and EdTech
IT is one of the largest expenditures on any campus and yet the organization behind it is all too often seen as merely a service center rather than a partner for innovation. In this session, we will explore ways that university IT and Edtech groups can begin to change the way that they are perceived on campus as well as expanding their value into extraordinary partnerships and visionary thought leadership.
Guest Presenter: Sarah Smith-Robbins, Director of Emerging Technology at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University Bloomington.

Sponsoring Conference Session

One of the benefits for the Gold, Platinum, and Event Partners is that they will also be listed as the “sponsor” of one of our events or tracks throughout the day.  Although we are not providing a financial incentive to join the Partnership Program early, the real incentive is that those who do join the earliest will be able to select from the largest number of events or tracks to sponsor.  For instance, the organizations that join us now will be able to select from the full list, provided below.  As more partners join us, that list will get smaller.

Event or track sponsors will get their name listed next to the track or event on the printed and web schedules.

The full list of available events and tracks is:

  • Breakfast (Platinum and Event Partners only)
  • Lunch (Event Partner only)
  • Post-Event Social
  • Free Registration Competition – we will hold an essay competition to provide 3 entrants with free registration.
  • 3×15 Session – similar to TED talks, 3 speakers will present for 15 minutes each, with Q&A at the end, time permitting.
  • Ignite! Session – Consists of 8 presenters who get 5 minutes each to present 20 slides on their topic, each slide automatically timed to change after 15 seconds.  This is usually an entertaining and high energy session.
  • Hybrid & Online Teaching & Learning Track
  • Immersive Technology Track
  • Leadership & Administration Track
  • Research Track
  • Speaker Ready Room
