The primary deadline to submit a proposal has passed. HOWEVER, as long as the SUBMIT PROPOSAL option appears on the home page and in the navigation bar above, submissions are still being accepted.
ELD uses a revise and resubmit process for our conference, just like journals do. While we go through the revision process, we leave the submission portal open and consider any submissions in queue, behind those submitted by the original due date.
No, membership is not required to attend the Annual Conference.
Member+ does receive a 20% discount on registration and members will be provided a code to enter when registering.

ELD provides details on local area hotels under Venue & Logistics. We also work with the housing authority at Montclair State University to offer an on-campus alternative.
Generally much less expensive than local area hotels, and far more convenient (walk to the event, no dealing with parking, etc.), it is a modern student room in a residence hall, lacking some of the amenities of hotels.

ELD works to keep the annual conference as reasonably priced as possible, allowing greater opportunity for those who would like to attend.

Students should send an email from their school account indicating their year of study (Freshman, Sophomore, etc..), their area of studies, degree, and anticipated graduation. A code for registration will be provided .

ELD does not provide a professional development certificate for attending the conference. Our past experience has shown us that a copy of your paid registration confirmation and a copy of the itinerary has sufficed for most of those who have asked in the past.
