Karen Schrier is an Assistant Professor of Media Arts at Marist College, where she researches and teaches game design, transmedia storytelling, interaction design and UX/UI.
While earning her doctorate at Columbia University, she developed websites, apps, and games at a number of companies, including Scholastic, Nickelodeon and ESI Design. Karen co-edited a recently published series of books on ethics and games called “Ethics and Game Design,” and is currently editing a book written by the IGDA Learning
and Education Games SIG on educational games.
Karen holds an Ed.D. in Instructional Technology and Media from Columbia University, a master’s degree from MIT, and a bachelor’s degree from Amherst College. You can contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
